Erik Hollis
Opening for W.S. Merwin, April 17, 2008
Erik Hollis, a junior at Tucson High School, won the 2008 Poetry Out Loud State Finals for his recitation of "Walking Down Park" by Nikki Giovanni and "I Am!" by John Clare. Hollis presented the poems at the beginning of the W.S. Merwin talk at the Poetry Center on April 17.
Hollis represented Arizona at the National Poetry Out Loud competition in Washington DC on April 29, 2008.
